Introducing Gift Aid to 2nd Cambusnethan Company

On the 12th November 1951, 2nd Cambusnethan Company was registered as a Boys’ Brigade Company with The Boys’ Brigade National Headquarters. The Company are still going strong, due to the good foundations laid in the early years. It is due to these foundations that over the years thousands of young men have enjoyed the fellowship of this Company and hopefully many more thousands will benefit from the work that the Company does for the young men of Cambusnethan and the surrounding areas.

Question: How can you help?

Answer: Possibly at some point in your life you have been associated with 2nd Cambusnethan Company, you may have been a member who joined the Anchor Boys or Life Boys and progressed through the various sections of the Company, you possibly helped in some way (instructor, helper, camp cook….), you may have been a supporter who took an interest in the Company, or you have been or still are a parent with a son in the Company. Whatever your association, we hope that you enjoy being part of the Company and would appeal to you to help the Company advance with its work in promoting the object of The Boys’ Brigade in Cambusnethan and surrounding areas.

As a 50th Anniversary Initiative a suggestion was made to introduce a Gift Aid Donation Scheme, basically this involves filling in a few forms and making a donation that will help finance the many activities the Company now offers.

£1.00 becomes £1.28 automatically when you sign up for our Gift Aid Scheme.

As long as you pay income tax, we can claim back 28p in every £ 1.00 that you donate, isn’t that MAGIC!

Question: How do you help?

Answer: You can send to the Gift Aid Administrator, a donation by cheque, make a cash payment personally, or sign the Direct Debit Mandate that would make your donation payable annually on a date convenient to you. If 100 people even signed up for £10.00 a year, that would bring in a total of £1280 in cash that could be used to help subsidise activities, purchase equipment, organise special events, the list goes on…. £10 a year is just over 19p a week*.

* There is no minimum amount and no maximum amount; you can opt to change the amount you give if your circumstances change.
